It was a good weekend for fans of Fast & Furious . On Friday, a brand new trailer of the upcoming franchise Hobbs & Shaw presented our first look at The Rock and Jason Statham as reluctant partners in crime with buddies, making team with the debonair Idris Elba as a villain. .
And on Sunday at Super Bowl 53, a second place offered some additional details, including additional insights into the foolish partnership of our heroes and (yes) a few extra moments in which Idris had become a fool.
Granted. The premise of this film seems to turn the franchise Fast & Furious into something very similar to science fiction. Elba's character, Brixton, apparently claims to be a kind of human-computer hybrid that represents the next stage of human evolution, but simply seems to turn green. What I say is not a story that seems based on logic.
Again, given that there is a franchise in which humans regularly maneuver cars under semi-trailers and hunt skyscrapers without a scratch, perhaps to be once computerized. Idris Elba is not really such a stretch.
