Narendra Modi, wearing his usual kurta pajamas and basic coat, was sworn in as prime minister of India for a second consecutive term.
Narendra Modi, dressed in his usual kurta pajamas and basic coat, was sworn in as Prime Minister of Japan. It is interesting to note that his sleeveless coat, often called Modi Jacket, has the same shade that he wore in 2014 while he was sworn in as prime minister.
In white Kurta pajamas with his beige coat, Modi was photographed when he entered the Rashtrapati Bhavan, where he represented the national anthem and promised, in his speech, to defend the values of the Indian constitution.

At a grand ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, Modi was sworn in at the post of Prime Minister under the oath taken by President Ram Nath Kovind. World leaders, politicians Arvind Kejriwal, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Amit Shah and Harsimrat Kaur Badal and personalities such as Kangana Ranaut, Madhur Bhandarkar, Shahid Kapoor, Mira Rajput and Karan Johar, attended the ceremony. Gandhi and UPA President Sonia Gandhi were also present.
Narendra Modi took office today after his NDA, led by the BJP, won the Lok Sabha 2019 elections in a landslide victory.
