The first episode of the new Game of Thrones season is airing tonight and we can not be less excited about it. While what comes next will be revealed today, of course, starting with the reunion of some of our favorite characters, a quick recap is something we need several hours before the premiere.
We can visualize Westeros in blue with the new Night King. this year's Viserion with a number of theories and some wishful thinking ideas, such as the very enthusiastic Cleganebowl, and much more. Last season left us some clues for the end of season 8. Here is a brief recap of the seventh season, explained in the gifs created for each episode:
#Episode 1: Dragonstone
The first episode of the Season 7 begins with the eventual fate of Arya Stark's Frey House, which wipes it off the Westeros map. Bran crosses the wall with Meera Reed to go home. In the north, Jon Snow, as king of the north, prepares the defenses and asks everyone to play a role in the Great War. He decides to forgive the Karstarks and Shadows even after betraying the Starks, ignoring Sansa's advice.
Cersei walks over the new map of Westeros and discusses the future of their home with Jaime. Euron Greyjoy becomes his last ally by promising him a precious gift. Samwell Tarly is training in the old town, where he became Maester. Finally, we will see a brief meeting between him and Ser Jorah Mormont, while Daenerys Targaryen will return home, landing at Dragonstone.
#Episode 2: Stormborn
The second episode of Season 7 begins with a confrontation between Varys and Daenerys – who judges his loyalty. Melisandre arrives at Dragonstone, asking Dany to summon Jon Snow. Jon receives two letters, one from Dany and the other from Samwell Tarly. On the basis of Dragonglbad's confirmation on Dragonstone by Sam, Jon decides to go meet the dragon queen, facing the revolt of the northerners. Sam tries to cure Jorah's Greyscale – a rough scene.
Arya Stark, learning that Jon is the king of the North, decides to return to Winterfell, only to find her grandfather, the long-lost werewolf. Cersei at King's Landing tries to convince his banners to support her instead of the crazy king's daughter. Dany holds a meeting at which his allies Ellaria Sand, Yara Greyjoy and Queen Ollena welcome Tyrion Lannister's plan to storm King's Landing. Euron Greyjoy attacks Yara's fleet, resulting in the capture of Yara and Ellaria, as well as Tyene Sand. Theon being fearful, gets off the ship.
#Episode 3: The Justice of the Queen
This episode begins with Jon's arrival at Dragonstone to meet Dany, who is only concerned about the threat of the White Walkers and is not ready to bend his knee in front of a Targaryen. Dany learns that she lost her two precious allies, the Greyjoys and the Martells. Theon is saved from the sea – who is abused by the Ironborn for not having saved Yara. Yara, Ellaria and Tyene parade in King's Landing to be presented as a gift to Cersei Lannister.
Cersei poisons Tyene Sand – act of revenge against Ellaria and justice for her late daughter, Mrycella. Bran arrives in Winterfell and meets with Sansa – the acting Winterfell lady. Dany sends the Unsullied to capture Casterly Rock, while most Lannisters are absent. Lannisters and Tarlys attack Highgarden, looting it to pay Iron Bank debts. Jaime confronts Olenna Tyrell, gives her poison to drink. Before dying, Olenna confesses to having poisoned Joffrey during the purple wedding.
#Episode 4: The spoils of war
Arya Stark arrives in Winterfell and meets with her brothers and sisters Sansa and Bran. Meera Reed leaves for her house. Jon and Dany discuss the legend of the last long night, based on ancient sculptures from the Dragonglbad Cave. Dany is filled with anger when she learns that they have also lost Highgarden. Theon Greyjoy arrives at Dragonstone to ask for help from Dany, first smothered by Jon for betraying the Stark, then learns that Dany is not on Dragonstone.
Bronn and Jaime head for King's Landing with looted gold. Dany and the Dothrakis are the only ones to be ambushed. Many Lannisters are killed and Jaime tries to end the battle by killing Dany. He is about to be roasted by Drogon while he is saved by Bronn.
#Episode 5: Eastwatch
The episode begins with Dany who asks the survivors of the battle to bend the knee while roasting alive Tarlys. Jaime and Bronn return to King's Landing. Jon meets Drogon for the first time. Much to Dany's surprise, Drogon lets Jon caress him.
Bran sneaking into a bunch of crows for Eastwatch to learn that Night King will arrive soon. While Jon learns the same thing and demands to leave for Winterfell, Tyrion proposes to him to present a corsair to Cersei in order to obtain the support of King's Landing during the great war.
Davos smuggles Tyrion to King's Landing during a meeting with Gendry at Flea Bottom. Gendry follows Davos up to Dragonstone, while Jon and his company head for Eastwatch by the Sea. Sam, bored by the monotony of the citadel, leaves the old town with Gilly and Baby Sam.
Littlefinger, aware that Arya spies on him, discovers Sansa's letter to Robb. Jon, Jorah, Gendry and Davos join Eastwatch by sea and unite with Tormund and Brotherhood Without Banners to lead their "Dark Hunt" expedition.
#Episode 6: Beyond the Wall
Jon and his party travel north of the wall and we see some small discussions between characters like Jon and Jorah, Tormund and Sandor Clegane, and Gendry with the Brotherhood until we get to see him. they are attacked by an undead polar bear. . Thoros of Myr is seriously injured while they continue their mission. Arya plays the face game with Sansa, judging her loyalty to Jon. Daenerys discusses with Tyrion and becomes furious when the subject of the succession is evoked.
Jon and his party meet a couple of chefs led by White Walker. Jon kills the Walker and they try to capture a wight by being ambushed by a hundred thousand wights and the king of the night. Gendry being the fastest of them, returns to Eastwatch to send a raven to Dany, informing him of the ambush. Dany arrives in time to save them but loses Viserion who is killed by the king of the night. Jon is left behind to be saved by Benjen Stark. Dany makes a promise to Jon to fight by his side to avenge the death of his dragon. The King of the night resurrects Viserion under the name of White Walker as his mount.
#Episode 7: The Dragon and the Wolf
The ultimate episode of Season 7 begins with Jon and Daenerys introducing the captured wight to Cersei in order to gain his support during the Great War. Initially, Cersei agrees to help her, but she is angry when Jon says that he can not promise her loyalty. Tyrion tries to convince her and she agrees to help after their little conversation. Sansa discovers Arya's faces as she continues the game of faces. Littlefinger tries to take advantage of the chaos by turning the sisters against each other. Jon and Dany plan their trip to Winterfell, while Theon asks permission to try to save his sister. Theon Greyjoy wrestles while gaining respect for the Ironborn, while Littlefinger is executed by Arya.
Cersei reveals to Jaime his plan to betray Jon and Dany, while Jaime, disgusted, abandons him to honor his commitment. Sam arrives at Winterfell, discovering with Bran that Jon is a legitimate Targaryen, named Aegon, and that Robert's rebellion was built on a lie. Jon and Daenerys on the way to Winterfell make love, while Tyrion casts a worried look. Sansa and Arya reconcile, while Bran walks and flies a flock of crows to Eastwatch. Night King mounted on Viserion melts part of the wall at Eastwatch by the Sea. The Army of the Dead crosses the wall, while Tormund and Beric barely escape.
