Why did Fox really want WWE SmackDown Live?

[ad_1]

WWE and Fox are on the verge of concluding a very big contract in October. With this arrangement, Fox will reach SmackDown Live for just over $ 1 billion over the next five years.

Fox has since indicated that his plan for SmackDown Live to get a coveted Friday night spot on their home network was a "short term" plan. This is very different from what we have heard previously. However, SmackDown odds are not very high and they are currently lower than Fox's on Friday nights.

The workings of the television industry can become very delicate. In the case of Fox, the decision to include the WWE is largely tied to Disney's purchase of Fox. It also needed something to fill the void left by the UFC when they went to ESPN.

The properties of Disney buying Fox will see a change in the presentation of the network. Their plan is to focus on live sports events that can be organized by WWE. The purchase of WWE SmackDown Live was therefore taken into account by Fox's new mission statement, as defined by Disney

. Only time will tell how long Fox will keep SmackDown live on Friday, but if WWE manages to increase odds, it will have a much better chance of keeping that spot.

I love professional wrestling and I hate BS. These two things lead me.
