Well, we can recognize that holes in intrigues are not the end of movie reviews, but that does not mean they do not bother us occasionally. And here is one that definitely sticks to the fanfare: OK, so if Nick Fury had this very powerful friend he could call when there would be a danger, why did not he do it during the battle of Manhattan? Or during the whole Ultron affair?
And, honestly, it's not a bad question. Naturally, it is such a natural and bitter curiosity that someone finally interviewed Kevin Feige, one of the producers of Marvel Studios, about it. Thanks Peter Sciretta of Slash Movie for taking the ball on this one, buddy.
Here's how it happened:
Peter: I have a thorny question to ask you.
Kevin Feige: I'm ready.
Peter: And I know you probably have an answer to that. Why did not Nick Fury use the pager before Infinity War ? Because this big hole opened up in the sky and aliens attacked the city of New York.
Kevin Feige: Well, I would say two things. First, she says it must be a real emergency, right? Yeah.
Peter: Because it was just a city. I guess it's not the world.
Kevin Feige: The other thing I would say is how do you know he never hit him? How do we know that he has never pushed before? We have never seen it grow before. That does not mean he has never done it.
Peter: Good answer
This is certainly an answer. I want to see the short film where wonder Nick Fury continues to paginate Carol and she, busy doing something exciting about an alien world, gets angry and ignores it. And if he does not, we can surely respect Fury for his restraint and his confidence in the Avengers facing a major calamity. If Captain America were by my side, I would probably trust him too. He's a good guy.
