Why is Kapil Sharma's friend, Chandan Prabhakar, missing from his comedy show?

Kapil Sharma's comedic show recently made headlines when Navjot Singh Sidhu was replaced by Archana Puran Singh after his comments on the Pulwama attack sparked strong criticism. Now the show is in the news for another reason. Speculation is rife that not everything is going well between the actor Chandan Prabhakar and the producers of the show.

Chandan, who plays a chaiwala, was absent from the series and his recent tweets suggest that everything is not going well between him and Kapil. Both are childhood friends and have been professionally badociated for a long time.

When Chandan was asked about social media why he had not been seen in the series, he replied, "Thanks for the love … well, I miss intentionally episodes … my character in my game might not be working it's why they do not put me in the episodes … well a lot of love n best wishes for you also … (sic) ".

When BT spoke to Chandan, he said, "I stand by what I shared with my fans on social media. Sometimes it's quite possible that manufacturers are not happy with the way you play your gags. In my case, the decision makers have the feeling that my gags are not part of the public, but when you consult social media, my fans think the opposite. They really like my work and keep asking me questions if I miss the show. So, these are professional issues and I hope that they will be settled soon. I want to Kapil and personally, we share a big equation. This is a dear friend and I have nothing against him.

For his part, Kapil told BT: "Chandan filmed an episode with us yesterday and we are shooting today as well. It was missing in a few episodes because we were working on new characters. But that does not mean that it is not part of the series. He works with us and is always a very important part of our team. "
