Game of Thrones's Season 8 proves difficult for Daenerys. First, she gets a freezing welcome at Winterfell where none of the northerners are interested in knee bending, then she discovers that her nephew Jon (who claims the Iron Throne better). But could another darker twist happen? For example, Daenerys became the queen of the night.
Nothing indicates that the king of the night is actively searching for a queen. He certainly does not surf on Westeros Tinder between his attempts to dominate the world. For the moment, he is likely to go to Winterfell with his army in the hope of destroying Bran, and if Daenerys is part of his plan, there is no doubt.
But thanks to the user of Reddit, marisaann26, some fans can not help but wonder if the Mother of the Dragon is about to rule alongside the biggest villain of Westeros. The theory is based on the vision that Daenerys had in the House of the Undying during Season 2. You will remember that she went through two visions before being reunited with her stolen dragons. In the first, she finds herself in the throne room of King's Landing, but she is completely ruined. The ceiling is full of holes and snow covers all surfaces. Still, she is looking for the iron throne, but she turns away from it when she hears her crying dragons.
According to the theory, Daenerys turning away from the iron throne is actually a metaphor for his actions in Season 7. She is finally in a position to fight for the power of Cersei, but instead she turns north and past the wall to save Jon and his friends. In doing so, she loses Viserion for the benefit of the king of the night.
In the second part of the vision, she found Khal Drogo and her infant son who died at birth. She finds herself tempted to stay, but she hears her crying dragons again, and she tells Drogo that they will be reunited "when the sun rises to the west and sets in the east" . According to the theory, this represents the Daenerys dragons who claim their deceased brother.
None of this seems to indicate that Daenerys is joining the king of the night, but there is a third part of the vision that has not yet been paralleled: the Mother of the Dragons leaving Khal Drogo and his son behind. It could mean that she leaves her human life to be reunited forever with her children, because if the theory turns out to be true, she is about to lose all her dragons to the benefit of King Night.
The perspective is not as far-fetched as one might think. Jon's plan is to have the dragons stationed near Bran so that they can eliminate the King of the Night, instantly destroying the entire army of the dead. But what if the plan turns against him and Drogon and Rhaegal are killed (and resurrected) by the king of the night?
Daenerys' heart broke when she lost one of her children. Losing all three in the name of a war she does not really want to lead at the beginning might be enough to make her join the King of the night of her own free will.
It is hard to imagine Daenerys so upset that she will turn to the king of the night to make sure that she will have her throne. But there is evidence in the books that support the idea of a queen of the night. The user of Reddit, Marisaann26, noted that the 13th commander of the Night Watch (answer of the series of books to the Night King) had left his post to join "a woman in ice". They then ruled together.
Again, this does not confirm that the series will also have a queen of the night, but that should make you say "hmmm". Emilia Clarke's interview with Vanity Fair suggesting that Daenerys' final scene could be disturbing is also suspect. "It made me happy," she said of her character's last moments. "Know that it's going to be a lasting flavor in someone else's mouth that Daenerys is …"
Wait, from what she is? Could Clarke have warned fans of a dark final arc for her beloved character. Daenerys has certainly struggled to do things in Season 8 until now, and with the Battle of Winterfell, things will definitely get worse. Now, the jury has not yet decided whether it would go a day until it aligns with the king of the night, but fans should prepare for some kind of twist involving the mother of the dragons before the end of the series.
