Smith is no stranger to Ranveer and Bollywood. The two actors had a good time together when the Hollywood star came to India last year, in October, to shoot a special song for Karan Johar student of Year 2 .
Smith is a Grammy Award-winning singer-rapper, known as The Fresh Prince. His rap music is however different from the one we usually listen to. His hip-hop style was meant to involve people of all ages, starting with children, and his lyrics contained virtually no adult. In fact, his son and actor Jaden Smith is also a singer-rapper and is expected to perform in Pune, in a music festival, today. The festival will also feature performances by the world's most paid DJ, Marshmello, DJ Simon Green, Indian artists such as Blackstratblues, Arjun Vagale, among others.
The worship of Smith for Gully Boy is important to the creators, considering that the fact that it is an international icon badociated with both the music and the prowess of 39; actor. This can open the way for cross-cultural collaboration between actors, if ever an opportunity arises. Not asking too much, eh Ranveer? Apna Time Aayega !
