What is the story ?
According to recent reports, WWE has changed the names of 5 new signers in NXT.
The report was released through the official WWE Performance Center website.
In case you do not know …
[19659018] The practice of changing the name of a superstar has existed for a very long time in the WWE. Several factors are taken into account when badigning a new name to one of the employees. Earlier this year, WWE abbreviated the name of SmackDown Live's superstar, Mustafa Ali, who is now simply known as Ali. Shortly after, the WWE changed the names of the NXT Tag Raiders team champions, who underwent a series of name changes after WrestleMania 35.

At the heart of the matter
According to the WWE's official website, Performance Center, five new signers of the NXT have recently changed their name. Here is the list of wrestlers whose names have been metamorphosed (courtesy WrestlingNews.co):
Adrian Jaoude is now Arturo Ruas.
Luke Menzies was renamed Ridge Holland.
Jessie Elaban will be known as Jessi Kamea.
The new name of Eric Bugenhagen will be Rik Bugez .
Trevor Lee is now known as Cameron Grimes.
As such, Trevor Lee is a familiar face since he is a former Impact Superstar. In addition, Eric Bugenhagen undergoes a metamorphosis at the same time as the name change.
Next Steps
Contrary to what has happened in the past with several Superstars, these recruits have been given a new name at the beginning of their career. This seems like a good thing and hopefully will not create much confusion in the future.
What do you think about WWE changing names for its Superstars? Do you think it helps the wrestlers in some way?
