Chris Jericho is no longer a wrestler in the WWE after formally signing an exclusive contract with the new All Elite Wrestling (AEW) promotion. Jericho went to the Double or Nothing rally and said he was now an AEW employee. Jericho has struggled for more than 18 years for the WWE since joining in 1999. But last year, he shocked the world by fighting Kenny Omega in the New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW).

Since Jericho's transfer to AEW, WWE has been named to the Alumni section of its official website. Y2J revealed that he had had a conversation with Vince McMahon prior to his transfer to AEW and that he was simply looking for a new opportunity. But he has recently made derogatory comments against Brock Lesnar, WWE Universal champion.

After Brock's victory over Finn Balor at Royal Rumble, Jericho tweeted at Lesnar.

"Bullying and fear linger in our business guys, but let's be honest, @BrockLesnar needs to get up and lose his guts … the dream is over, man. not following the script … @wwe @AEWrestling, "Jericho said on Twitter.

Lesnar has already been criticized for his mediocre performances in the ring. His matches against Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman have been heavily criticized by fans. Last night, Lesnar beat Finn Balor with a Kimura Lock to retain his title.

AEW has also been reported to be offering multi-million dollar contracts to several WWE wrestlers. It has been said that WWE has proposed to increase the salary of any wrestler with an official contract offer. A name that has been widely spread is that of The Revival, which has recently called for their release from society.

Jericho has now responded to all these rumors, claiming that AEW was only interested in 6 to 8 wrestlers in the world.

"Hey @ wwe, @ ringofhonor & @IMPACTWRESTLING … I love to see you pushing all your adventures, but just know that we are interested in maybe 6-8 of your talents in total. We do not need you! @ AEWrestling, "tweeted Jericho.

WWE will now be looking to build its biggest show of the year, WrestleMania. Seth Rollins won the Men's Royal Rumble and should face Brock Lesnar in the biggest stage of their history.
