WWE Raw Results, recap, reactions (January 28, 2019): Main Event

There is your main event WrestleMania 35

Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey.

I could talk about the game between Rousey and Bayley – which was fun but could have used Bayley more often. Lynch's nervousness and the display of the sign of the four riders, in my opinion – but why? This is not the story here. The story goes that, despite the fact that Rousey did all that was "good", the audience boohed at it all on this show. She is preaching to make your dreams come true, she's holding an open title and it still does not matter.

She is not the man.

Some people will say that Rousey totally missed his promo before the game, by the way. I agree with them … and yet it is perfect for this story. Rousey is great when everything is fine for her. But as soon as she has to deal with a negative image, insecurity rises to the surface and she loses her cool.

Rousey threatened to kill Lynch with bare hands, everyone! AND BECKY NOT SOLD THREAT, A SMALL MEDIUM FACED WITH RONNIE'S FACE!

Lynch, what … what words can I use? She is at a completely different level in terms of the investment of fans. She is at a completely different level in character work. And his promo in Rousey's face was still at a completely different level.

"… The last time I took part in your show, I dropped you pretty much there. And yet, you do not come looking for me, you want to prove that you are the worst woman on the planet. So I came to get you to prove that you are not there. "

Chills .

Universal buzzkill

Everything was going well for Seth Rollins

After winning the Royal Rumble, Rollins came to celebrate his victory with the fans. released to share a tear with his protégé and warmly congratulates him on his return to form Rollins even had a victory over his longtime rival, Dean Ambrose, to top it off.

But then … you know He decided to try to fight Brock Lesnar

Paul Heyman joined his client to end the series and advised Rollins to choose Daniel Bryan for his match at WrestleMania, because who on earth would ever decide to voluntarily to be bombed by the Beast?

Rollins, apparently, he fell on Lesnar's face and hit him twice against Lesnar's injured bowel … but that was for nothing, Lesnar quickly c got into an F-5 and then another. And another. And another. And another. And another …

Uh. Rollins. Do you want to rethink that decision?

It's a bit funny with the context. The crowd chanted "kill the Beast!" To open the show and uh … yeah. They did not sing at all at the end.

I would also be extremely entertained if Rollins decided to follow Heyman's advice after the beating. He will not do it, of course, but still.

Elias is again a villain

The WWE can not rush.

After the opening of the Royal Rumble against Jeff Jarrett, Elias decided to turn his heels tonight. He told the fans that they should give him ovations and congratulate him wildly … so they did it. He insulted them, but it did not fit.

Jarrett made an appearance alongside Road Dogg where they tried to show the young musician / wrestler and it did not go so well for the old superstars. Elias smashed them both with a guitar and had a moment of ruckus before the crowd chanted "Waaaaalk Walk with Elias …"

So, what about that, Cageside? In my opinion, it was a pretty lame ride and it obviously did not work.

The rest

Nia Jax and Tamina def. Alexa Bliss and Mickie James – It was a qualifying match for women's team titles and it was not my favorite. Everything is centered on Jax and I'm just not a fan of his recent work. She also hit Ambrose with a forearm and … what's the point? What is the gain for Jax who hits the guys? Will one of them fight back? Am I supposed to applaud that?

Baron Corbin def. Kurt Angle – The story told here was that Angle was still trying to mentally recover from his loss in November against Drew McIntyre. Corbin had cost Angle his job, but he still could not do it. He even lost to a shot that did not finish!

… The comment was also extremely strong – and even prejudicial – strong and argumentative during this one. Chill, y'all.

Finn Balor's Consolation Prize – Balor was beaten by Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble after causing a lot of trouble for the Beast. That's good, Finn. Now back to the middle map.

In my opinion, it is literally the worst scenario for Balor. It's such a cheap consolation prize to make Lesnar believe no matter what it means. Bobby Lashley beat Balor a bit more after Lio Rush claimed he was taller, faster and better than Lesnar. Yeah, it's funny.

The Revival def. Zack Ryder, Curt Hawkins – This adorable loser became a lovable defeated . I'm looking forward to the story they can tell in their first win, though.

The Riott Squad def. Natalya and Dana Brooke – It was another qualifier for the title and Natalya's team never had a chance. Brooke was talking badly to her partner before the match and after Natalya's night at the Rumble … yeah.

Braun Strowman def. Drew McIntyre via DQ – Enough to see where Strowman is these days, huh? Corbin and McIntyre used it once, and now they chokes it in several stages. Life starts at you quickly.

I thought the show was really centered on Raw's two main belts. These stories were great. Everything else? Not great. The Rousey / Lynch face to face was A +++ and enough to make the show above average.

Grade: B-

It's your turn!
