WWE results at SmackDown Live for Feb. 26
WWE Week Monday Night Raw was held this week at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. WWE is on the road to WrestleMania with only one PPV remaining before the event. A contract signing between Kofi Kingston and Daniel Bryan was announced by WWE, but much more has happened. Kevin Owens makes a comeback – Kingston joined the ring with his New Day teammates and promised to become a WWE Champion after 11 years in the company. R-Truth beats Rey Mysterio and Andrade – Truth announced that he would follow his idol John Cena and launch a United States Open Championship Challenge. Mysterio and Andrade responded to the call. It was another short match that was a fast deal with many counters. Most of the game was worn by Rey and Andrade and showed amazing chemistry. However, R-Truth sneaked from behind and pinned Mysterio with a small package to retain his US title.
Charlotte Addressing the WWE Universe Ronda Rousey put the belt in Stephanie McMahon's position on Raw last night in retaliation for Becky Lynch's suspension. Charlotte came to the ring and announced that she would go to Raw to win the vacant championship.
Aleister Black and Ricochet defeated Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev. NXT superstars continued to shine on the big stage as they battled against two former US champions. The cohesion between Ricochet and Black was smooth when they defeated Nakamura and Rusev. It is good that WWE really relies on two NXT superstars and recognizes that Ricochet and Black are turning to big movie theaters in the future.
Kevin Owens and Kofi Kingston defeated Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan Owens called for the fight after replacing Kingston in the WWE Championship match at Fastlane.
