– Tonight's WWE SmackDown opens live from the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Stephanie McMahon is in the ring with Shane McMahon, WWE Champion Daniel Bryan and Rowan. The ring is set up for signing a contract. Stephanie welcomes us to SmackDown. Shane says we are here to sign a historic contract.
Stephanie presents the match for the WWE title at Fastlane and the fans start singing for Kofi Kingston. Shane begins to talk about Kofi while clips play at different times in his career, also evoking The New Day. Shane says that maybe we have neglected Kofi but no more. They talk about Kofi for a few more minutes, while Stephanie talks about recent events that led Kofi to get the WWE title at Fastlane. Shane continues and introduces Kofi. The new day is coming – Kofi, Big E and Xavier Woods. Bryan looks from his chair at the table, Rowan stands behind him. Fans start singing for Kofi. Tom Phillips welcomes us to SmackDown. He is accompanied by Corey Graves and Byron Saxton.
Kofi takes the microphone and declares that it's all that he's always wanted but that after all these years, this is finally happening. He said that none of this would be possible without his brothers, his boys. He poses with Big E and Xavier for a pop. Fans sing "you deserve it!" now. Kofi attributes to the fans the merit of having contributed to this. He now talks to Bryan and continues to take the WWE title at Fastlane. Kofi drops the microphone on the table and laughs at Bryan as the fans sing his name. Shane asks Bryan to sign the contract and he is ashamed as some fans greet him. Kofi will sign but the music stops and WWE President Vince McMahon is heard by a pop.
Vince applauds from the stage and picks up the microphone. He congratulates Kofi for his career and accomplishments, calling it truly remarkable. However, he says … the fans are starting to boo. Vince says it's up to him, as president, to give fans the biggest box office ever, the best competition. Vince says that he replaces Kofi with a more deserving, more qualified man. Vince introduces Bryan's new opponent for Fastlane and returns with Kevin Owens, back home, who has been absent since October after a double knee surgery.
The New Day is not happy. Owens enters the ring and sits at the table. Owens and Bryan look at each other as The New Day screams behind them. New Day is leaving the ring now and the fans are not happy. Shane and Stephanie are watching. Fans sing for Kofi as The New Day goes up the ramp. Bryan and Owens continue to look at each other as we move to the commercial.
– Back from commercial, Kevin Owens is alongside Shane and Stephanie McMahon behind the scenes. He knows that they are not involved in what just happened and they wonder how long he knows. Owens said he wants to join Kofi Kingston to face Rowan and Daniel Bryan later in the evening. The McMahon say they'll take it into consideration.
The bar against the Hardy Boys
We go to the ring and the bar is waiting, Sheamus and Cesaro. They had to face the WWE Superstars NXT but Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy, back in their group, come home.
Jeff starts with Cesaro and eventually takes control. Matt joins the double team. Matt works on Cesaro and does the "suppression!" song. Cesaro catches Matt and takes him to the corner for a tag at Sheamus. Sheamus lands on Matt in the corner. Matt returns it and Jeff comes for more double teaming. Cesaro returns but they also double it for takedown. The bar is sent to the ground. Jeff jumps out of the ring with the help of Matt and makes The Bar fall outside. The Hardys are standing up as we go back to the advertisement.
Back from the break, Sheamus attacks Jeff. Matt is looking for a label but Cesaro comes in and takes over. Cesaro keeps Jeff on the ground now. Sheamus enters and Jeff fights the double team. Jeff takes both of them with a Whisper In the Wind. Matt is gathering the crowd now.
Matt does the same as Cesaro. Matt arrives and takes Cesaro to the turnbuckles. Matt signals a "suppression!" sing but Cesaro blocks the bulldog running. Matt with the side effect for 2 counts. Matt with a second elbow in rope for another attempt at pin. Matt plays in front of the crowd for another "erase!" sings and drops Sheamus as he approaches. Cesaro avoids Twist of Fate and launches Matt for a score of 2 after Sheamus gets a low shot. The bar tries to double the Matt team but Jeff rushes to drop Cesaro. Matt with a 2 count on Sheamus. Matt drops Sheamus with a Twist of Fate. Jeff makes his entrance and sends the Swanton bomb to Sheamus for a big pop. Jeff covers for the pin to win.
Winners: The Hardy Boys
– After the match, Matt and Jeff celebrate under the sign of music. We are going to replay.
– Still to come, Aleister Black and Rusev against Ricochet and Shinsuke Nakamura. We see Ricochet and Black behind the scenes talking when Lana appears. She does not understand what it's all about – Ricochet is nothing special and Black is ordinary. She continues with insults and Ricochet highlights their recent win over RAW's team champions, The Revival, untitled. They continue and Black promises to send Rusev and Nakamura to the dark tonight. Lana is okay.
– We're going into the ring and the WWE US Champion, R-Truth, with Carmella. Truth is released for a US Open Challenge. We go to the commercial.
– Back from the break, advertisers lead us to the WWE Hall of Fame video package for The Honky Tonk Man in 2019.
– We're going to the ring and the WWE Champion to the States United, R-Truth is with Carmella for its US Open Challenge.
Truth makes a promotion and Andrade with Zelina Vega. They head for the ring but Rey Mysterio runs and attacks, bringing him to the ring. The truth calls them to stop and asks why we can not all hear each other. The truth says that he is at a crossroads, he does not know who to face. He asks what would John Cena do? Carmella says Cena would face both opponents at once. The truth says damn, Cena is brave. The truth thought more than no thanks to the two potential adversaries. The truth says that it will make Cena proud – make the triple threat.
Triple threat to the WWE United States Title: Andrade against Rey Mysterio against R-Truth
The bell rings and Andrade nails Rey Mysterio with a big dropkick. R-Truth arrives but Rey returns Andrade from the ring. Truth and Rey are going now. The truth drops Rey for an account of 2. Andrade ends up breaking the truth on the ground. Rey with a baseball slide. Rey will slip on his chest but Andrade hits him in midair with a kick and Rey lands hard on the ground with Truth. We go to the commercial.
Back from the break, Rey climbs to the fore to evict Andrade from Truth's shoulders. The crowd appears and Zelina Vega can not believe it at the edge of the ring. Rey and Truth are going now. They collide and descend. Andrade kneels at Rey's corner and does the same with Truth, but the Truth moves. The truth is working Andrade on now. The truth leaves Andrade with a clothesline and a chisel while Carmella encourages him. The truth with the forearm flying in the corner. The truth strikes Andrade and calls Cena's Five Knuckle Shuffle. The truth slams for a charge of 2.
The truth picks Andrade and Vega sit on the apron to help him. Carmella runs and pulls Vega off the apron. Andrade sends the truth in the ring. Rey flies to Andrade and sends him to the ropes for 619. Rey chooses 619 but Andrade avoids it. Rey with a big boot. Andrade leveled Rey with a big elbow on the back for a total of 2. More back and forth between Rey and Andrade. The truth comes back in the mix. Rey nails 619 to Andrade. The truth immediately comes from behind and rolls Rey to keep the flag.
Winner: R-Truth
– After the match, Truth celebrates the success of his music. He takes the title and leaves with Carmella under the eyes of Rey. Andrade recovers and comes from behind, placing Rey. Andrade goes into the DDT Hammerlock but Rey gets out. Rey does a follow-up but Andrade withdraws to the ground with Vega. The musical successes of Rey
– Kofi and Owens against Bryan and Rowan, still to come. Also, Ricochet and Black vs Rusev and Nakamura.
– We see Charlotte Flair walk behind the scenes. We return to the commercial.
– We come back from the break and see what happened earlier with Vince McMahon who changed the main event Fastlane .
– We go to the ring and Charlotte Flair arrives a bit from a hometown pop. We see what happened on RAW with Ronda Rousey, Stephanie McMahon and Becky Lynch.
Flair picks up the microphone and talks about Vince McMahon saving the match WrestleMania 35 for the RAW female title. place of Lynch. Fans sing for Becky and Flair asks if they have already finished. Flair continues to recover, taking blows at Rousey and Lynch. Flair says that she does everything that is asked of her and that she always delivers. Fans give him the "what ?!" treatment now.
Flair continues to say that Rousey and Becky are afraid of her. Flair announces that she is the true champion. Flair says she'll be on RAW next Monday and that she's going to show up so that Vince can crown the new RAW female champion, someone who deserves it – your queen, Charlotte Flair. Flair delivers a "wooo!"
– Owens and Kofi have yet to come against Bryan and Rowan in the main event.
Ricochet and Aleister Black vs. Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura 19659003] We go on the ring and that is Aleister Black of WWE NXT coming first. Ricochet is next, also to a pop. We are watching a video package for the Black History Month and a commercial break.
Back from the break, Rusev is in the ring with Lana. Shinsuke Nakamura is also out. Nakamura starts with Black and they get entangled in the ropes. Nakamura tells Black to bring him and they run the ropes. Black dodges a kick and takes his place on the apron, taunting Nakamura. Black ends up having control over the carpet. Black registered Ricochet and they land with the double team on Nakamura for 2 points. Nakamura turns him over and takes Ricochet's knee now. Rusev catches and lands on Ricochet with tapes while he is on the ground.
Rusev looses Ricochet from a big right hand and strikes him, causing him. Nakamura now joins the double team. Nakamura keeps Ricochet to the ground under Lana's eyes. Nakamura thrusts Ricochet on his knees and brings Rusev back inside. Rusev with a big suplex on Ricochet for 2 points. Ricochet ends up being offended and turns the etiquette into black. Nakamura also marks and they go there. Black gets the upper hand as fans talk to him. Rusev is interfered with, allowing Nakamura to send Black out of the ring. Rusev marks and blackens the black floor. Rusev stands proudly in front of Black as we move to advertising.
Back from the break, Rusev takes control of Black after Lana's intervention. Rusev with a big kick in the back while Ricochet is waiting for a beacon. Rusev tramples Black's hand and taunts him. Black tries to defend himself but Rusev hits him in the corner. Rusev with a bear hug in the middle of the ring now, black clad in rag.
Black fights and defends himself, but Rusev drops him to the ground with ease. Rusev wins Black but he thwarts and falls on Rusev. Ricochet marks and nails Rusev in the air. Ricochet unloads the offensive and knocks Nakamura off the apron with a kick. Ricochet trembles with a big uppercut and a moon standing for a doubled while Lana screams for Rusev to come out. Ricochet climbs to the top but falls to his feet when Rusev moves. Ricochet avoids the machka kick. Ricochet against again but Rusev chases him with a big side-kick for a count of 2.
Rusev shouts "good evening the recruits!" and seeks to tidy up Ricochet. Rusev tramples Ricochet for The Accolade but Ricochet avoids it. They exchange their shots and Nakamura presents himself for a double team. Ricochet nudges Nakamura and sends Rusev over the first rope. Black ties and pulls the top rope down while Ricochet flies over to take Rusev out. Black and Nakamura are going now. Nakamura with the reverse exploder. Nakamura is waiting for the Kinshasa match but Black drops him with a black mbad while charging. Black hides Nakamura for that he wins the victory.

– After the match, Ricochet and Black celebrate the musical success of Black
– Kayla Braxton is backstage with AJ Styles. Styles begins by saying that he is happy to learn that Roman Reigns is in remission. Kayla explains how AJ has been the cornerstone of SmackDown for years and describes himself as a fierce pitbull or a family man. She asks about her role in ascending Daniel Bryan and says that people say that he is in crisis for the first time in his career. AJ says that he is his own critic and that nothing can be said that he has not said to himself. He continues to define his own standards and how they push him to be his best. AJ says that sometimes lately, he is not himself and he is partly responsible for Bryan's rise. AJ was lucky enough to stop Bryan from being a WWE champion, but he did not succeed. AJ says that does not mean that he will not stop trying. It took him 15 years to get to WWE and he was never given anything. He will stop listening to critics, get up and dust off, fight against the next challenger and continue to fight to justify his badertion that it is about the house that he built. Randy Orton appears. Orton asks, "The house that AJ Styles what?" AJ looks, Orton is going away.
– We go on the ring and Lacey Evans comes out. She goes down the ramp to the ring as her music plays. Evans turns around and walks towards the bottom as we move on to advertising.
– Return of pause and display by WWE tournament advertisers 205 Live to crown a WrestleMania 35 challenger for WWE Cruiserweight Champion, Buddy Murphy.
– Advertisers show us a video package featuring highlights of Roman Reigns' return on RAW last night, announcing that he was in remission of his second battle against leukemia.
Kofi Kingston and Kevin Owens vs. Daniel Bryan and Rowan
We are going to the ring for tonight's main event and here is the first day: The New Day – Kofi Kingston with Big E and Xavier Woods. Kofi knocks on the corner to pose while we return to the advertisement.
Back from the break, WWE Champion Daniel Bryan and Rowan finish their entry. Kevin Owens is also absent. It seems that Kofi starts with Bryan, but Rowan starts. Rowan takes it and sends Kofi to the mat. Bryan applauds it. Kofi tries again and is strongly criticized. Rowan is missing in the corner and Kofi is kicking. Rowan is looking to reverse the situation and Owens is immiscious. There is already tension with Kofi. Owens and Rowan go away, unloading in the middle of the ring. Rowan drops Owens and screams. Owens shoots in the corner and beats Rowan in the opposite corner. Rowan runs into a boot. They run the ropes and Rowan delivers a dropkick for a charge of 2.
Rowan tag in Bryan and holds Owens for a cheap shot. Owens comes back and levels Bryan. Owens plays the crowd for a pop. Owens takes Bryan in a corner and works it. Kofi asks for a double team and counts 2 on Bryan. Kofi continues and sends Bryan over the top rope. Kofi is at Owens and Owens throws himself over the top rope to Bryan on the ground, bringing him back to the base. We go to the commercial.
Back from the break, Rowan has Kofi on the carpet. Rowan works on Kofi, hits him and keeps him on the ground while talking about garbage. We see how Kofi was thrown into the barriers by Rowan during the break. Rowan returns with Kofi on the carpet and plays in front of the crowd to be booed. Rowan with a backbreaker for 2 other chefs. Bryan marks his return and keeps Kofi on the ground, standing up. Kofi fights from the carpet but Bryan rocks him with an uppercut. Bryan speaks badly and uses the second string on Kofi while the referee counts and warns him. Bryan with a big blow in the back, leaving Kofi on the apron. Bryan throws the apron and low kicks low, sending Kofi to the ground.
Rowan returns and pushes Kofi to the ground. Rowan brings him back to the ring for a count of 2. Rowan bounces on the rope and delivers a splash in the middle of the ring for another attempt at tight bowling. Rowan keeps Kofi on the ground now. Rowan lifts Kofi for a backbreaker but hits him head first in turnbuckles instead. Bryan replies that Rowan is asking Owens for a blow. Bryan takes Kofi to the top and delivers a super superplex, but Kofi still scores the goal. Bryan immediately tries a new flag attempt.
Fans are now singing for Kofi, Bryan talking and keeping control. They confuse again and this leads Bryan to apply the LeBell lock. Kofi struggles and reaches the bottom rope just in time. Bryan takes Kofi in the corner and kicks in now. Bryan with a dropkick in his face. Bryan with a second dropkick running. Bryan tries a third goal, but Kofi jumps out of nowhere with a big double step. Owens now catches the hot tag.
Owens self-identifies and unloads on Bryan. Owens with a big fall from the back. Owens with a clothesline in the corner. Owens jumps from the second rope with a dropkick. Owens cradles Rowan on the apron and hits Bryan from a sentinel. Rowan tries to approach but Owens cradles him, sending him back to the outside. Owens with the Cannonball Corner now. Rowan arrives from behind but Owens pushes him away and pulls him out of the ring. Rowan returns to the apron, but Owens replaces him. Bryan charges but Owens catches him in a Powerbomb Pop-Up for a close count. Owens can not believe the kickoff.
Bryan climbs to the top for the Frogsplash but Rowan shoots him. Rowan throws Owens on the announcements table. Kofi jumps out of the ring but Rowan catches him in midair. Kofi slips out and sends Rowan face-to-face into the ring. Kofi climbs to the top and jumps to the ground on Rowan. Owens returns to the ring with Bryan now. Bryan misses the dropkick from the corner and hits his knee.
Winners: Kevin Owens and Kofi Kingston
– After the match, Owens sings songs while leaving his arms raised. by the referee. They both watch each other as we go to reruns. Owens and Kofi have a few words and it seems that things are not going to get out of hand, but we can not hear what they say. SmackDown stops broadcasting with Owens and Kofi in the ring.
