Xiaomi claims it sold 275 phones every minute in Q3 of 2018

Analysts claim that Xiaomi is now the number one smartphone in India. The company VP and India Managing Director, Manu Kumar Jain has now revealed another milestone that Xiaomi has achieved. He claims that Xiaomi has managed to sell a total of 12 million (1.2 crores) smartphones in India in Q3 of 2018. Jia also claims that in the last three months (Q3), Xiaomi has sold 275 phones every 1 minute.

Jain took to Twitter to announce the news and share it with the Mi Fans. His post reads, "BOOM! We are continuing to be Smartphones in one quarter (Q3 2018) – @Cbadys. That's basically 275 phones / minute for 3 months. show the tremendous faith Mi fans have in us! " According to the latest Cbadys report, this is the first time that a brand has sold in the market.

Xiaomi's has been a game changer in the smartphone segment, especially in the mid-range segment. Most of Xiaomi's Redmi phones, including the latest ones – Redmi 6 Pro, Redmi 6, and Redmi 6A – have received mbadive success across the mbades. Some of the months old Xiaomi Redmi phones, including the Redmi Note 5 Pro as still among the most demanding smartphones in India right now. However, there are other decent phones available in the Realme 2 Pro, Asus ZenFone Pro Max (M1), among others.

Xiaomi is leaving no stone unturned to make his position much stronger than ever before and strengthen its fan base. In line with the same, to celebrate Diwali, Xiaomi is offering one of the most popular smartphones of the recent times as the Redmi Note 5 Pro and also the Poco F1, which is a phone from the company's sub-brand Poco.

Starting from today to November 5, the Redmi Note 5 Pro 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model will be available for a discounted price of Rs 12,999. While the price of the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage model of the phone has been dropped to Rs 14,999. Xiaomi is also offering up to Rs 4,000 flat discount on Poco F1.

The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model of the F1 Poco is selling with Rs 3,000 discount which brings back the price of the phone to Rs 21,999. The 8GB + 256GB storage combination of the F1 Poco is also available with Rs 3,000 discount which drops the price of the phone to Rs 27,999. Lastly, the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model of the phone is now priced at Rs 26,999 after the Rs 4,000 discount. All these phones are available with Mi.com, Mi Homes, and Flipcart. The Mi A2 Android One phone is also selling with Rs 2,000 discount, which brings down the price of the phone to Rs 14,999 from the MRP of Rs 16,999.
