Could these teenage heroes be the key to the future of the MCU?

With Avengers: The end of the game on our doorstep, many Marvel fans are wondering what the future holds for the MCU. And with Endgame's second trailer, which suggests that young archer Kate Bishop is about to make her film debut, one can not help but wonder if a full-fledged movie Young Avengers is at stake.
But who are the Young Avengers, and how do they relate to the most powerful heroes on Earth? Here's all you need to know about these miners in training.
Explaining Young Avengers: The Basics
The Marvel Universe is constantly in need of protection, but Avengers are not always ready for it's reason for which the Young Avengers met for the first time. Just like their old namesake, this team has come together to face a threat too big to be overcome by a hero. She did so by paying tribute to heroes such as Captain America, Hulk and Iron Man.
Although the adult Avengers have since regrouped, the Young Avengers have carved a place for themselves. Recent conflicts have only highlighted the gap between one generation of heroes and the next. to fight for humanity on their own terms.
The Young Avengers range
Various members of the Young Avengers have adopted costumed identities that pay homage to the Avengers. In many cases, they have no direct connection to these heroes. Here is a list of the main members of the team:
Iron Lad – This teenager, who travels back in time, is responsible for leading the original Young Avengers team. He wears a sophisticated "neurokinetic" armor that superficially resembles that of Iron Man. Iron Lad turns out to be a younger, more benevolent version of the evil Kang the Conqueror. Although he finally returns to his time, he leaves behind his armor, which evolves to a new version of the hero Vision Android.
Hulkling – Despite his name, Hulkling is actually a shapeshifter and the son of the hero Kree Mar-Vell and Princess Skrull Annelle. Its very existence threatens to revive the war between the two empires.
Wiccan and Speed – These two twin brothers are the magically created sons of Scarlet Witch. Wiccan is a powerful (though untrained) spellcaster as his mother, while Speed attacks his Uncle Quicksilver
Patriot
Patriot – Eli Bradley is the grandson of Isaiah Bradley, one of the African-American soldiers who was used to test the project that ultimately gave birth to Captain America. Eli lets his teammates believe that he has inherited the powers of his grandfather, while in reality he uses a dangerous drug called mutant growth hormone.
Hawkeye – The rich socialist and talented archery Kate Bishop Hawkeye after the death of Clint Barton. After the return of Clint, the two Hawkeyes maintain a precarious coexistence.
Stature – Cbadie Lang, daughter of Scott Lang, inherited her ability to shrink and grow and control armies of insects. Given his young age, however, his powers are often affected by his emotions.

The Young Avengers: Origin and Context
The Young Avengers were created by Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung, the original series making its debut in April 2005 after the events of Avengers Disbadembled, a story that saw the Avengers torn apart by an attack of an uncontrollable Scarlet Witch. The journalists of Captain America, Iron Man, Jessica Jones and Daily Bugle, Kat Farrell, reveal the existence of a new team of teenage heroes operating in New York. And while these newly minted Young Avengers help stop an attack by Kang the Conqueror, Cape and his friends are making it clear that they will not tolerate a team of underage and untrained heroes operating under their noses.

That does not stop the Young Avengers from continuing their mission. The original series lasted 13 numbers and resulted in a major conflict between Kree and Skrull when Hulkling learned his true origins as a child of both races.
It will take several years before Marvel publishes a second volume of Young Avengers, in part because Heinberg's engagements in Hollywood have made it difficult to write a monthly comic book. Instead, the Young Avengers appeared in a series of smaller projects, often related to major Marvel crossovers such as Civil War and Secret Invasion. The team also frequently crossed the path of the group of teenage superheroes The Runaways during this period. The Miniseries Young Avengers Presents helped to flesh out the past of several team members.
Heinberg and Cheung finally met in 2010 for Avengers: The Children's Crusade. In this story, Wiccan and Speed meet their grandfather, Magneto, and embark on a quest to hunt down Scarlet Witch and discover the truth about their origins. Wanda is finally redeemed because it is revealed that Doctor Doom was responsible for his insane behavior and his destruction of the Avengers.
A second volume of Young Avengers debuted in 2013, starring this time the talents of Phonogram / The Wicked +, the creators of The Divine, Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie. This series has added several new members to the team and dealt with such conflicts as the inner turmoil of Loki and Wiccan confronting his eventual transformation into a villain called Demiurge.

Unfortunately, following the conclusion of this series in 2014, the Young Avengers team practically remained in pause. However, Kate Bishop has regained consciousness as the star of many incarnations of Marvel's Hawkeye comic book.
Young Avengers: Beyond the Comics
As a team, the Young Avengers still have to appear outside the Marvel Comics. But individually, these characters have spread in other media. Several members are available as playable characters in games such as Marvel Future Fight, Marvel Puzzle Quest, LEGO Marvel Avengers and LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2.
Cbadie Lang became the first of these characters to appear on TV and cinema. She appeared in the episode "To Steal an Ant-Man" by Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and was performed by Abby Ryder Fortson in Ant-Man in 2015 and in Ant-Man and the Wasp.
It is speculated that Marvel will introduce young Avengers into a next phase of the Marvel film universe. With Cbadie Lang already introduced, Kate Bishop potentially making her debut in Endgame and Vision currently undergoing a profound transformation, some key people may already be in place at the beginning of Phase 4.
