The last word added to the Oxford English Dictionary is none other than "chuddies". This is one of the 650 words that were added to the quarterly listing of additions announced on March 18, 2019.
Oxford describes Chuddies as (mainly among British Asians) underwear. Origin: 1990s, Anglo-Indian, perhaps a modification of churidars.
The main contributor to this addition was Goodness Gracious Me, the cult TV and comedy show on British radio.
