Manjinder Singh Sirsa says that Shah Rukh Khan showed Gatra Kirpan as an ordinary dagger at Zero.
Delhi-based Sihs Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) Secretary General, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, filed a lawsuit on Monday against Zero Shah Rukh Khan's actor and director Aanand L Rai for undermining Sikh sentiments . Sirsa claimed that SRK had shown Gatra Kirpan as an ordinary dagger in the film.
Manjinder Singh Sirsa's complaint to the SHO, North Avenue, New Delhi reads as follows:
As General Secretary of Sikh Gurudwara Executive Committee in Delhi, received many complaints from Sikh Sangat for undermining the feelings of the Sikhs in the film Zero directed by Mr. Aanand L Rai. In the film, the film actor Shahrukh Khan was shown wearing the "Gatra Kirpan" (article of Sikh faith) and in their promotional film that caused a scandal among the Sikh community around the world. According to Sikh rehat maryada, only the Sikh person Amritdhari can wear Gatra Kirpan.
You are asked to file a lawsuit against the director Aanand L Rai and the actor Shahrukh Khan. You are also asked to immediately stop promoting Zero movie showing actor Shahrukh Khan wearing Gatra Kirpan. "
Manjinder Singh Sirsa also asked Zero's director, Aanand L Rai, to remove the wrong scenes, otherwise the Sikh community will organize movie theaters to stop the screening of the film.
