Indian actress Bharti Singh was arrested after cannabis was discovered during a raid on her home.
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) said 86.5 g (3 oz) of the drug was found in the house she shares with her husband, screenwriter Haarsh Limbachiyaa.
The couple, who co-host the reality show India’s Best Dancer, were interviewed.
The raid was part of an investigation into allegations of illegal drug use in the entertainment industry.
The investigation stems from a high-profile investigation into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June and has led to multiple raids on personalities from the world of television and film.
Rajput, 34, was found dead in his apartment in Mumbai on June 14. Police at the time said he committed suicide.
“[Ms Singh] and her husband were arrested for questioning about drug possession, ”Sameer Wankhede, one of the investigators, told the ANI news agency.
The PTI news agency quoted an official as saying Ms Singh’s name was mentioned during an interview with a drug dealer.
As she left her home in Mumbai, Singh told reporters: “They called us for questioning, that’s it.”
Major Bollywood actors, including Deepika Padukone, Rakulpreet Singh and Shraddha Kapoor, were questioned in the recent investigation.
