Cleveland Indians third baseman, Jose Ramirez, was sidelined on Sunday during a spring training match against the Chicago White Sox after scoring a shot under the left knee.
The Indians announced that Ramirez had a bruised knee and that he had to undergo an x-ray. Max Moroff replaced Ramirez in third base for the rest of the match.
Ramirez led the Indians with 39 home runs last season, while his .387 percentage on the base also led the team. He also set a career record with 105 RBIs.

Ramirez also had 34 bases stolen to become the third player in franchise history with 30 homers and 30 flights, joining Grady Sizemore (2008) and Joe Carter (1987), according to ESPN Stats & Information.
Indians will already have no second-baseman Jason Kipnis and Francisco Lindor, star player of the opening game, at the opening day, as both players have the right varieties of calves. Lindor will start the season on the injured list.
The Indians recruited the infielder Brad Miller Sunday to help fill in second base in the absence of Kipnis. Eric Stamets should start stopping short while Lindor is out.
