An Indiana woman accused of slaughtering her husband also allegedly used an ax to partially dismember him – then asked her children to help her dispose of the remains, according to reports.

Thessalonica Allen, 34, was arrested for shooting her husband, Randy Allen, on July 27 in the bedroom of their apartment in LaPorte, Indiana, authorities said.

Police said the children heard the gunshots and went to the bedroom where they found Randy Allen on the floor asking for help, but Thessalonica Allen told them not to call 911 and sent them over in their bedroom, The Times of Northwest Indiana reported.

The two teens later said they were woken up in the middle of the night by their mother, who asked them to help drag Randy Allen’s body out of the room and into his vehicle – but the corpse was too heavy, according to court documents.

After their mother came home the next day with cleaning supplies and an ax, she woke them up again that night, this time asking for help placing the body in a tote, reported the newspaper.

“The children said mum intended to take the vehicle and body to South Bend and set it on fire,” police said.

The mother was arrested after police said they received a tip from a Michigan man who was the father of one of the children. The man came to the Indiana apartment after Thessaloniki Allen allegedly told him that Randy Allen had beaten the child.

The Michigan man said the suspect showed him Randy Allen’s remains and then asked him to help place the body in his vehicle, but he refused.

“As they were driving home, she told (the man) that she had to shoot Randy because he was beating her and the kids,” police said.

After police arrested Allen in LaPorte, a town about 10 miles south of the Michigan border in northwest Indiana, she confessed to shooting her husband following a physical altercation.

“He’s beating me,” she told police, according to the charges.

Officers then located her husband’s partially dismembered body in a tote in their apartment.

“She then admitted that she had to cut Randy’s legs off because she wasn’t able to put it in the bag,” police said, according to the Times. “She said she panicked and didn’t know what to do after shooting him. She said she used an ax to cut off his legs.”
