Raw fury released a trailer in March who made it clear that he would bring the independent city builder Landscaper to the mobile some time after the Nintendo Switch release, and today the game appeared on the Google Play Store for pre-registration. While we still don’t have a specific release date, a community trailer released in late August revealed that the game will hit mobile in October, which is only a month away. Obviously, Raw Fury is stepping up for the mobile version of Townscaper with today’s pre-registration list, which means this sandbox city builder should be launched on the platform sooner rather than later.
You can watch the August community trailer above, and as you can see, Townscaper is a gorgeous game that revolves around city building. Unlike typical mobile free-to-play city builders, Townscaper will deliver a premium experience, although pricing is still unknown. After looking at the Steam and Switch listings, it looks like the game costs $ 5.99, so a similar price tag is expected for the Android version.
Gameplay-wise, Townscaper is unique in that it’s basically a city-building sandbox with no objectives whatsoever. You just built to build, possibly to create beautiful island cityscapes, which the game is known for, hence the heaps of overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam and the web. Townscaper is something to play with, more like a toy than a traditional game, but it’s a fun toy that looks perfect for mobile play. Hope the touch controls are working fine.
So, if all of that is fine with you, you can pre-register through the Play Store widget below to receive a release announcement the day Townscaper lands on Android, regardless of the day. At the very least, we know that Townscaper will launch soon thanks to the approximate October date announced by the publisher.
