Jakarta, Selular.ID – The Internet of Things (IoT) is getting closer to Indonesia. In an effort to develop IoT services, telecom operator XL Axiata supports the biggest IoT contest "Republic of IOT 2018" (RIoT) in Jakarta last weekend.
RIoT 2018 lasts two days, November 24 and 25, 2018. In total, 30 teams selected from all over the archipelago show potential projects of Indonesian IoT.
Participants were invited to create IoT-based solutions from a variety of topics, namely: agriculture, logistics, energy and utilities, l & rsquo; Industrial IoT, security, health, fintech, building automation, fleet management and transportation.
The work of 30 teams was evaluated by the evaluation team who then selected 3 teams to be crowned champions and a favorite team. According to the judge's badessment, the winners of RIoT 2018 are:
Pictafish of Malang, Ultrafarming of Banda Aceh and Disteam of Malang. Mahapati from Bali won the favorite team.
Prizes for winners in the form of money, the laureates also had the opportunity to develop their work and receive advice and incubation at X-Camp (IoT XL Innovation Lab).
Winning teams complete each work in the form of a water measurement kit including AI cameras and water sensors to badyze the water quality; Digital speakers for monitoring and control of chicken farms; and early warning system to detect forest fires.
Meanwhile, the team that won the favorite did a job in the form of an intelligent water monitoring system for grouper ponds.
During the 2018 RIoT, a number of activities were also organized, including the discussion clbad, which consists of a workshop; Practical material; and Un-Conference, which is a stage open to all visitors to freely talk about the topic of their choice.

Republic of IoT 2018 is the largest event dedicated to the Internet of Things in Indonesia.
