MOUNTAIN VIEW – Google injects funds into the competing Android operating system, KaiOS. Google has invested 22 million dollars or the equivalent of 315 billion Rp. Although it has driven the market with the Android operating system, the KaiOS operating system is emerging as a alternative choice of smart phones, especially in developing countries.

As part of the investment, KaiOS will work to integrate Google services such as search, maps, YouTube and voice badistants to other KaiOS devices.

KaiOS is web-based designed for developers using HTML5, Javascript and CSS for applications. This system makes it easy for Google to run applications. The operating system also supports LTE 4G networks.
