Fancesco Bagnaia wins the 2018 Moto2 World Champion

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia – Racer Sky Racing Team VR46 Francesco Bagnaia become world champion Moto2 2018 in Malaysian Moto2 on the international circuit of Sepang, Sunday (4/11).

Bagnaia won the Moto2 2018 after winning the third Moto2 podium in Malaysia and collected a total of 304 points. The points of Bagnaia will not be overtaken by his closest competitor, Miguel Oliveira (272) of the Red Bull KTM Ajo team.

The winner of the Malaysian Moto2 belongs to Bagnaia's teammate Luca Marini, with a record of 38 minutes, 25,689 seconds. Followed by Oliveira and Bagnaia on the second and third podiums.

The Moto2 Malaysian is the 12th podium of Francesco Bagnaia. The 21-year-old has won eight Moto2 series this season. the other three podiums were won once in second and twice in third.

He became the first world champion for Bagnaia since his first Moto2 run in 2017 after a Moto3 promotion. In her first Moto2 season last season, Bagnaia finished fifth in the standings with 174 points and four podium finishes without ever winning a race.

Seeing this statistic, being world champion in just two seasons was a big step forward for Bagnaia, who was born in Turin.

As for Marini, the victory in this race is the first in Moto2 2018. Moreover, the victory in Moto2 Malaysian is the first since its appearance in the motorcycle of the grand prix 2013.

Two Indonesian drivers, Dimas Ekky Pratama and Rafid Topan Sucipto, also finished successfully.

Dimas Ekky finished second with a difference of 57.507 seconds over Marini, while Rafid Topan was 2 minutes late at 04.066 seconds.
