TRIBUNJATENG.COM, SEMARANG – Having been slightly exposed to non-halal problems, the provision of the MR (Rubella Rubella) vaccine in the city of Semarang has not been affected.
According to the data presented by the head of the Semarang City Health Bureau, Widoyono, in 2017, Semarang City exceeded the vaccine target.
"The initial goal was only 90%, and in 2017 it was over 95%, which is a very good achievement," he said.
While in October 2018, the implementation of MR vaccine in the city of Semarang reached 86%. There are still two months to reach the goal of 95%.
Widoyono said the target of MRI vaccines was children aged 9 months to 15 years. The vaccine is divided in two. Basic vaccine and booster vaccine.
"The basic vaccine is for children under 18 months old while the booster vaccine is aimed at children over 18. While the booster vaccine or extension of October 2018 has reached 42% ", he added.
Next year, Widoyono targets MRI vaccines in Semarang City to reach 95%. Of course, this can be achieved with the support of various medical staff in puskesmas.
"If all of us work together, the goal we hope to reach should be achieved, at least 80 per cent of the population has been vaccinated," he concluded. (*)
