JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Grab Indonesia has launched a new feature in the GrabExpress Car service for freight delivery facilities.

The GrabExpress service was actually launched a long time ago, but mail partners usually use motorcycles for delivery. However, shipments are often limited by the loading of goods running that is not qualified if delivered on motorcycle.

With the GrabExpress Car service, it is safer to send large or large items. Guaranteed delivery by car is safer for both the goods and the driver.

According to Ridzki, Grab focused on micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) because many GrabExpress users were salespeople, mostly those with small businesses at home.

In addition, MSMEs are an economic engine of Indonesia, accounting for 60% of gross domestic product. This service actually helps them to send orders to customers in a short time, that is to say no more than one day.

"MSMEs rely on a logistics infrastructure and the presence of GrabExpress Car will facilitate logistics," Ridzki said.

Other issues related to the delivery of goods online is a lack of confidence in the payment system. This problem is overcome by the presence of such features Cash on delivery (COD) named Grab Express Nalangin.

The system is similar to COD, in which the driver's partner will pay the price of the item to the seller, then deliver the order to the recipient and get money from the recipient depending on the price paid. Thus, the recipient can preview the physical property before making a payment.

According to Ridzki, the new features of GrabExpress offer MSME players the opportunity to market their products more outdoors, as there is no need to worry about fast and reliable shipping services. In addition, the new express entry device has the particularity of allowing the sender to send a maximum of items to five different locations.
