Rural multi-skilled mechanics (AMMDes) have been set up to support economic activities in the countryside. But the Ministry of Transport has asked that the AMMDes is not used on the road, because the vehicle was more intended for users of agricultural equipment.

That's what the Director General (Dirjen) of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) Land Transport Budi Setiyadi said during a meeting at the Go-Jek office, Pasaraya, Kebayoran Baru, at South Jakarta.

"Even if it is possible, it will be used for multiple purposes for the interests of farmers.When we meet Korlantas and the Ministry of Industry, it is possible not to be on the highway, c & # 39; So it's only possible from home to the farm site, "said Budi.

"Thus, it is more focused on tools than on transportation, for example for water suction machines, rice mills, etc., all of which are accompanied by machines," he said. Budi.

Wondering if the AMMDes is intended for transport vehicles, Budi said he had to follow the type of test rules owned by the Ministry of Transport. In this sense, there is no more special regulation.

"As long as the type of test can meet the standards we have established, no special regulations are needed," Budi said.

In addition, said Budi, AMMDes himself has several models that need to be improved, but so far, he has not returned to the Ministry of Transport.

"Ammdes is a multifunctional tool that was also exposed yesterday at GIIAS, our job is only to perform a type test, but in this type of test we have done it and we still need to improve it, but it is not not income, "said Budi.

AMMDes is designed, developed and produced by PT Kiat Mahesa Wintor Indonesia (KMWI), a subsidiary of PT Velasto Indonesia. This company is one of the PT Astra Otoparts Tbk divisions. Thanks to KMWI, AMMDes fulfills two functions: to be a production tool to increase agricultural productivity in the countryside and to mobilize production in the village.

With this function, AMMDes has three types, namely the type of bin with PTO (the PTO receives power from other sources and transmits this energy to other applications), the type of fixed bin with ALSINTAN and flat floor or pbadenger type with PTO. For AMMDes units with integrated PTO facilities, it is possible to use grain mills, rice bleach, irrigation pumps, generators and other sharing equipment.

AMMDes has a local component content level of 70%, KMWI involves 71 suppliers including 69 local suppliers (38 IKM, 15 Astra, 16 non Astra) and 2 foreign suppliers to provide 189 AMMDes components. (riar / lth)
