Jokowi provides connected toll between Jakarta and Surabaya in December

Solo – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated Wednesday the Sragen-Ngawi segment of the 51 km (51 km) toll road. The Sragen-Ngawi segment is part of the Solo-Ngawi toll road for 90.4 km.

According to Jokowi, Jakarta-Surabaya will include toll roads later this year after the construction of four toll roads this year. The four toll roads are Pemalang-Batang, Batang-Semarang, Salatiga-Solo and Wilangan-Kertosono.

Meanwhile, the Trans Sumatra toll road project is also showing good progress. Jokowi will inaugurate by the end of December 2018 the segment of the toll road connecting Bakauheni to Terbanggi Besar.

"At the end of December, we will inaugurate 148 kilometers from Bakauheni to Terbanggi Besar," said the former governor of DKI Jakarta.

He added that the segment of the Trans Sumatra toll road linking Bakauheni-Lampung to Palembang will be completed in March or early April. Previously, the toll road section was to be completed in May or June.

"The Bakauheni, Lampung, going to Palembang, believes that yesterday will be over in the field in May or June, but I do not negotiate in May or June, completed in late March or early April," said Jokowi.

Jokowi claimed that the settlement goal would be advanced to March or early April, unrelated to the presidential election, but to be able to be used for Lebaran next year.

"It's not because there are elections for April, but we want the Lebaran time to be used from Jakarta to Palembang," said Jokowi.
