The head of Persib Bandung, Umuh Muchtar, supported the movement that asked Edy Rahmayadi to run for president of PSSI.
According to Umuh, Edy could not take care of the PSSI because he was the governor of North Sumatra.
He explained that the position of President of the PSSI should be occupied by a serious and focused personality, and not simultaneously.
Umuh also regretted some of Edy's controversial statements, especially when the former Pangkostrad commented on the journalist's role behind the failure of the Indonesian national team.
"So, do not keep a position at the same time, but you have to be serious and do not blame yourself, do not blame journalists anymore, if you lose, you lose, you lose, you blame others," said Umuh.
Given the current situation and conditions, Umuh suggested that the PSSI Extraordinary Congress (KLB) be held early in 2019.
Umuh said the president of the PSSI should understand the conditions of football in the country and have plenty of free time.
However, the man who called Pak Haji did not reveal the figure he was defending to lead the IHSP.
"What is more important is that those who have the courage to spend capital must dare to waste time and spend money primarily for our achievements in football," said Umuh.
