Rossi says Yamaha's bike is strange

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The pre-season test session for the 2019 MotoGP season has resumed. This time, the driver's last motorcycle tests took place in Jerez, Spain, and started Wednesday (28/11/2018).

Valentino Rossi became one of the riders who attracted attention. After struggling with the 2018 season, has the engine proposed by Yamaha for 2019 changed?

"For the choice of machines, I decided, but from what I think, this machine does not make much difference," said Rossi quoted by Crash.net Thursday (29.11.2018).

Rossi revealed that the problem he was facing was that Yamaha was not making a big move on the problems it was experiencing. The seven-time world champion compared what he's been experiencing with other runners.

The Italian driver on the first day of the tests could not record time at the top of the fastest driver. He was in 17th place because of technical problems when he tried a new tire.

"I think something is wrong with the bike, so I stopped not testing," said Rossi.

Rossi said it was clear that with the current engine, Yamaha would not be aiming for victory. Maybe it could be in fifth or sixth position in each race.

The main problem is the deterioration of the tires that still haunt the bike. Rossi saw a clean note when the tires were new but gradually eroded in the fifth and sixth rounds.

"So I say a little, this new engine is not enough to give it a competitive appearance," Rossi said.
