Three bodies found floating in the sea of ​​the Strait of Malacca

PEKANBARU, KOMPAS.com – Three bodies were found floating in the waters of the Strait of Malacca, about 3 km from the coast of the village of Pambang, Bantan District, Regency of Bengkalis, Riau, Thursday (29.11.2018).

The three victims were found by fishermen looking for fish at sea. Then the fishermen report to the village chief of Pambang, Paslah.

"After obtaining information from the village chief, we coordinated with Polairud and Basarnas, and the three bodies of the victims were immediately evacuated and taken to the Bengkalis General Hospital for an autopsy," Johari said.

Captain Basarnas, Leni, added that a number of Basarnas personnel had been deployed to badist in the evacuation of casualties from one ocean to the other.

"We had initially received air force information on the findings of three casualties floating in the sea area of ​​the Strait of Malacca, precisely on the coast of Pambang village," said Leni.

The Basarnas team in Bengkalis was immediately deployed to the site to evacuate. During the evacuation, the team did not find the victim's identity.
