H-1 Christmas, 59,362 vehicles should leave Jakarta

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The number of travelers leaving Jakarta on Christmas Day 2018 Monday (24/12/2018) should continue to increase.

PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk estimates that no less than 59,362 vehicles will leave Jakarta through the Cikarang Utama toll gate on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road.

"This represents a 4% increase over the normal traffic volume of 57,053 vehicles," said Irra Susiyanti, senior communications specialist in the Corporate Communications Branch, in a statement released on Monday.

According to him, the increase in the number of vehicles continued to increase until H-2 yesterday, where no less than 76 824 vehicles left Jakarta.

This number is up 44% from the normal daily traffic flow of only 53,220 vehicles.

Regarding the return to Christmas House from 21 to 23 December 2018, no less than 248,864 vehicles crossed the Cikarang Utama GT.

"This figure has increased by 45.73% compared to normal daily traffic, which amounted to 170,768 vehicles," he said.
