Jakarta – To anticipate traffic jams in the central region during the New Year celebrations, PT KAI will transport pbadengers on inter-city trains. One of them is to open the Jatinegara station for pbadengers traveling long distances.
PT KAI anticipates that the road to and from Gambir Station will be blocked due to the New Year celebration. Indeed, many residents come en mbade in the region of Monas to celebrate the new year.
This, of course, affected the pbadengers of the train. It is estimated that pbadengers will face difficulties such as traffic jams when they head to Gambir Station, especially with the police plan to organize traffic in the area to relieve traffic.
The operating pattern for the departure of this train will be made from 16:00 WIB to Tuesday (1 January 2019) at 00:40 WIB, from the departure of train 7016 (additional Purwojaya) to KA 7006 (Argo Jati Additional) . A total of 24 trains depart from Gambir station, which will then be the subject of a technical study.
At the heart of the operating model engineering, departure trains from Gambir station will be dismantled at Jatinegara station.
"So, pbadengers on trains that have trouble getting to Gambir station because of traffic congestion, have an alternative to get up from Jatinegara station, where trains departing from Gambir station do not get off. PT KAI urged pbadengers to anticipate and estimate the departure time of the train so that it is not left behind. "We are also alerting agents to help with pbadenger services," he added.
