Again, WhatsApp officials leave Facebook

KOMPAS.com – WhatsApp is left by the senior official. Neeraj Arora, who is Chief Business Officer, chose to follow in the footsteps of two WhatsApp founders, Brian Acton and Jan Koum, who had already left.

Arora then announced his resignation Monday (26/11/2018). Through his official Facebook account, he explained that he wanted to rest and spend time with his family.

Arora, dubbed the "number four employee," also thanked the WhatsApp team, including the duo. co-founder Acton and Kum.

Interestingly, in the written farewell message, Arora did not mention the name of Mark Zuckerberg, who was in fact the CEO of Facebook, the parent company of WhatsApp.

This raises questions, since the WhatsApp and Instagram managers who had gone before would have had bad relations with Zuckerberg.

"I have the chance to work with a group of talented people and see how this focus can create something extraordinary and loved by billions of people," wrote Arora.

Arora worked on WhatsApp for seven years. Previously, he worked at Google before finally being invited by Acton and Koum to join WhatsApp.

Arora digadang-gadang replaces Koum and Acton as CEO of WhatsApp before retiring.

But with the withdrawal of Arora, the potential filler position has become uncertain.

In his farewell, Arora also expressed his pride with regard to WhatsApp, which continues to attract more and more people every day.

Koum and Acton who attracted Arora to WhatsApp have first quit Facebook. Acton was withdrawn last September. At that moment he was silent about the real reason he was retiring.

Recently, Acton acknowledged that there was a mismatch with Facebook's business model. He also campaigned #DeleteFacebook when the problem of user data theft by Cambridge Analytica appeared some time ago.

Koum followed in April 2018. According to some sources, Koum also would not have accepted the use of personal data of the user for commercial purposes and the weakening of the encryption maintained by WhatsApp .
