Ahmad Dhani was sentenced to one year and six months' imprisonment for defamation "silly". He then submitted a pledoi for the next hearing.
The libel trial was held at 2:30 pm standard time. The president of the Haki Assembly, Anton Widyopriyono, invited the Attorney General (JPU) to take cognizance of the claims of the accused Dhani.
"Please, the Attorney General reads his demands," said R Anton Widyopriyono at Surabaya District Court, Jalan Arjuno, Tuesday (23/04/2019).
In the requests read by the prosecutor Rahmat Hari Basuki, Dhani captured Article 45, paragraph 3, paragraph 27, paragraph 3 of Law No. 11 of 2008. On Information and Electronic Transactions .
"Require the accused Ahmad Dhani with a prison sentence of 1 year and 6 months," said Rahmat.
Then Rahmat read the Prosecutor's submissions. Among these things are painful for the defendant where Dhani does not feel guilty and does not regret his actions. Whereas the only thing that lightened the defendant was the polite attitude of Dhani during the trial.
In the 50-minute trial, Dhani dropped his eyes more often. After reading the applications, the Chief Justice then interviewed Dhani about the application.
After consulting his lawyer, Dhani asked for a defense note or pledoi. "We submitted a defense note or plea and asked for two weeks," Dhani said.
R Anton acceded to Dhani's request. The trial was closed and will resume on May 7th.
"The session continued on May 7 with the pledoi agenda," said Anton, patting the hammer.
