BPN's response from Prabowo-Sandiaga in support of the family of the founder of the UN in the 2019 presidential election

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Sodik Mujahid, a member of the winning national group, Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno, said his party was increasingly optimistic about winning the presidential election of 2019 after receiving the support of several members of the the family of the descendants of the founder of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU).

"We are increasingly optimistic about the presidential election of 2019 with the support of the kiai of the founding family of the UN.It is an extraordinary support.We also benefit from the support of the whole community, "said Sodik in a statement written Thursday (29/11/2019).

Sodik felt that the support of the families of the three founders of NU showed that Prabowo had accepted all this time.

In fact, he said, during this period, Prabowo was attacked by various problems that trapped him, but it is precisely the support of the clerics of the UN that was obtained by the General Chairman of the Gerindra Party.

"Especially last night, the clerics who came to Mr. Prabowo admitted that if he was internationally recognized, he should not doubt his confidence in Indonesia. much better change for Indonesia, which has now declined, "said Sodik.

Previously, serial number 02 Prabowo Subianto and vice-presidential candidate Sandiaga Uno met family members of the descendants of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) at the Prabowo residence, Jalan Kertanegara, South Jakarta, on Wednesday ( 28.11.2018).

At the meeting, the founding family of the NU expressed support for the Prabowo-Sandiaga couple in the upcoming 2019 presidential election.

"Representatives of the founders of the NU (dzurriyah) are here to exchange ideas, support each other, understand each other," said KH Irfan Yusuf, familiarly referred to as Gus Irfan, in his statement after the meeting.

Gus Irfan is the grandson of the founder of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) KH Hasyim Asyari. Gus Irfan's father, KH Yusuf Hasyim, was one of the NU's characters and was the guardian of the Tebuireng Islamic Residential School, in Jombang, in East Java.

Besides Gus Irfan, KH. Hasyim Karim or Gus Aying, KH. Fahmi Amrullah or Gus Fahmi and KH A. Baidhowi or Gus Dhowi. The three are the grandchildren of KH Hasyim Asyari.

There was also KH Hasib Wahab, son of one of the founders of NU KH Wahab Hasbulloh and Gus Billy, great-grandson of KH Bisri Syansuri.
