Jakarta, CNN Indonesia – Event Manager and Organizer Colosal Drama Surabaya BurnsTaufik Hidayat said he was concerned about the incident that left three dead and dozens wounded.
A number of spectators who were in Viaduk or on the bridge crossing the train around the site of the event number Surabaya Street Heroes were out of his control.
Taufik said that the incident had happened so quickly. He did not expect the viaduct of the night of Friday, September 11, to pbad the train. Because, he said, at a similar event in previous years, the train never crossed paths when the drama took place.
"Two years ago, there was no train until the event was over, but tonight the train pbaded, I did not know the time schedule "said Taufik, president of the Surabaya Blazing community.
According to him, the community was so excited to watch this drama that the number even soared around the place. In fact, the prepared area concerned only Jalan Pahlawan.
"The public went up to the fence of Tugu Pahlawan, including in the buildings, on the tracks, so that was their enthusiasm, until the rise and fall were no longer under our control, "he said.
Nevertheless, Taufik claimed to have repeatedly reminded the audience that was above Viaduk through loudspeakers. He asked the audience to go down and look for another place to look.
"I have been called several times by speakers, before the start of the program, at the same time before the pbadage of the train, we say repeatedly, friends, please, get off" , did he declare.
He also claimed to be coordinating with the police to secure the scene of the tragedy.
"We coordinated the PMR, and there is ambulance, there is the police, this program is safe, we try to be orderly but the problem is that if we are outside the system, we can not reach, because the location is far from the goal " , did he declare.
But shortly after the incident, the organizers decided to continue the unfolding drama, without any pause, the actors remained as usual. Taufik had a reason, he said that the incident would be even more troubled if the drama was canceled.
"In my opinion, these friends (actors) have worked, maybe there are a lot of in a state of shockbut it will be more in a state of shock when friends from the regions did not play on stage, while they had practiced for almost a month, "he said.
The drama was then, by Taufik, accelerated in duration, from what should have lasted 60 minutes, only 40 minutes.
"However, I represent the Surabaya Blazing community expressing its deep sadness and all the friends involved in the drama are sorry to participate," he said.
The drama of Burning Colosal itself has been regularly held in Surabaya since 2011. This drama is a commemoration moment every night of the Heroes' Day that falls on November 10th.
