Previously, the company had released a number of limited models such as OnePlus 3T Colette, OnePlus 5 JCC +, OnePlus 5T Star Wars and OnePlus 6 Avengers Infinity War.
For McLaren Edition OnePlus 6T, the company has confirmed the planned announcement on December 11 at Woking McLaren Technology Center. The next day, this announcement will also be announced in Mumbai.
Pete Lau, CEO and founder of OnePlus, said the two companies "were born with big dreams of creating something special" and said that this partnership was "a new proof of innovation, respect for the speed".
Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, added that "speed and strength" are the two values presented by the company. He also explained that the new smartphone was "a new base for innovative ideas and technology".
The latest smartphone model will have a degraded orange color, similar to that of the first Bruce McLaren race car that was driving in Monte Carlo during the 1966 Monaco Grand Prix.
The McLaren OnePlus 6T Edition should be a limited edition and should "go as fast as" the race car.
But like the other smartphones in the company, it seems that the McLaren Edition OnePlus 6T will not open the Indonesian market.
