MOSKWA, KOMPAS.com – The Russian army will take revenge if the United States (US) actually come out of the nuclear deal of the era of the Cold War.

Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov made this statement, as proclaimed Reuters via Newsweek Monday (26/11/2018).

Earlier in October, US President Donald Trump announced his intention to withdraw from the nuclear intermediate-distance agreement (INF).

The agreement prohibited the United States and Russia (at the time the Soviet Union) from building missiles capable of traveling between 500 and 500 km.

Ryabkov said Russia doubted statements by the United States and Europe that they would not develop the latest nuclear weapons.

"We've heard it, but we do not want to be disappointed by our colleagues, so the army has prepared the worst case scenario," Ryabkov said.

He revealed the possibility that Washington is placing its missiles in a location that can reach Russia and its allies.

Ryabkov explained that the US maneuver gave them the opportunity to hit the national defense "Red Bear".

He refused to describe the scenario that the army had prepared. But he made sure that the action would be very effective and inexpensive.

President Vladimir Putin, at the end of October, threatened to attack European countries if they allowed the United States to lay down their arms.

"The reaction will be swift and effective, and any action from the West can force our country to take revenge," Putin said.

Trump's plan to get out of INF inflamed his allies such as Germany and France. French President Emmanuel Macron said the measure could threaten Europe.

In early November, Macron set off to get Europe to unite and combine its armed forces to protect itself from Russia, China and even the United States.
