From next week until the end of 2018, commercial entities will reduce the price of unsubsidized fuel, adapting to the conditions of world oil prices, which continue to fall below 60 USD per barrel.

"Price reduction commitments start no later than January of next week," said Djoko Siswanto, director general of oil and gas (Dirjen Migas) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, while participating in the Pertamina Energy Forum, JakartaWednesday (11/28).

Djoko revealed that the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources had received the commitment to reduce the prices of unsubsidized fuels, after calling the commercial entities selling non-subsidized fuels, namely PT Pertamina (Persero ), AKR Corporindo, Indonesia Shell, Total Oil Indonesia, Vivo and Garuda Mas. However, the price decline can not be done immediately, because it is necessary to wait for oil stocks to be bought before prices fall. Nor could he mention the schedule of price reductions.

"I have summoned Pertamina, AKR, Shell, Total, Vivo, Mas Garuda. When do you ask each of them," he says.

According to Djoko, the government has regulated the amount of profits from the sale of unsubsidized fuel, which does not exceed 10%. For the moment, his party is waiting for the letter of determination of the amount when the fuel price drops.
