JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Dell has just launched a laptop Thu most recent, the G7 series for the Indonesian market.

Unlike the laptops introduced at the CES 2019 conference, the Dell G7 series marketed in Indonesia still uses old processors, the 8th generation Intel, rather than the 9th generation.

Dell's competitors in the field of gaming laptops, such as Asus, have recently launched a gaming notebook equipped with 9th generation Intel processors. So, why does Dell always use an Intel 8 processor?

According to Tjipto Suparto, consumer country director of Dell Indonesia, the company has decided to place the G7 series of 8th generation Intel variants on the Indonesian market.

"We have worked well with Intel and thanks to this cooperation, we decided to use the eighth generation Intel processor first," said Tjipto. KompasTeknoThursday (18/07/2019).

Still, Tjipto has confirmed that it will also bring the latest generation Intel processors to the G7 series.

"At the same time, we have also been discussing with Intel and we will proceed later to the transition (G7 series) to the ninth generation," said Tjipto.

Dell has itself confirmed that the G7 series gaming laptop will be updated with the 9th generation Intel processor in October.

Together, the Dell G7 series will also be updated with screens with refresh rate 240 Hz. In addition to the G7 series, Dell also plans to bring the G3 and G5 series to Indonesia.
