In response, Zaenal A Budiyono, executive director of the Developing Countries Studies Center (DCSC), said that what the GN volunteers do is a natural thing, with the goal of expanding support to Gatot Nurmantyo.

However, Zaenal said, referring to the new electoral law, that it takes at least 20% parliamentary threshold (PT) to allow the GN to advance to the presidential election . While the PT noteholders are the political parties that currently have seats in the DPR.
