Jakarta – The government is working on the rules of electric vehicles in Indonesia. The latest news from the Ministry of Industry sent the draft policy to the Ministry of Maritime Affairs Coordination on October 15, 2018 to coordinate and seek the approval of President Joko Widodo.

The Ministry of Coordination and Maritime Luhut Binsar Panjaitan said that the Perpres project would be included in the discussions of a limited meeting next week.
"For Pepres for a moment, tomorrow is our first internal meeting tomorrow," Luhut told reporters.
"So maybe Wednesday the meeting about the presidential settlement, we will prepare the project on Saturday and Sunday, maybe next week we will submit to the ratas (limited meeting), God willing," said Luhut.
One of the contents of the project concerns incentives for electric cars. The government is currently preparing an incentive scheme for the development of the electric motor vehicle industry, which has the effect of reducing fossil fuel consumption and oil imports. But now he has not been able to reveal in detail.
