A recent report from Counterpoint Research on the best-selling smartphone in May 2018 has been released. Surprisingly, Samsung's flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S9 +, is now in second place. At the top of the position is now owned by Apple iPhone 8.

Noted, Galaxy S9 + market share in the global market in May 2018 was only 2.4 percent. Instead, the iPhone 8, which has surprisingly managed to take the crown of best-selling smartphones during this period. Previously, Apple's smartphone was only in fifth position in April 2018.
