President Jokowi had previously revealed that he had struck off the MSMEs from the DNI.

This was revealed by President Jokowi during the closing of the 2018 National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) at the Alila Solo Hotel on Wednesday (28/11/2018).

"The relaxation of DNI is important, but what is related to MSMEs is what I heard about Kadin and HIPMI's voice, and from that communication I decided to make sure that the business of the MSMEs result from the relaxation of DNI, "said Jokowi.

According to Jokowi, the inclusion of MSMEs in the easing of the DNI is explained by the fact that there are currently 62 million UMKM units and employs 116 million people. This situation shows that the majority of over 80% of the Indonesian workforce is in the MSME sector.
