He said that as a former UMKM he would certainly be interested in MSMEs.

According to him, the MSME industry is very open to the job. In Indonesia, there are 62 million MSMEs employing 116 million people.
"This means that the majority of more than 80 percent of Indonesian workers work in the MSME sector," he said.

In addition, the contribution of MSMEs to Indonesia's gross domestic product (GDP), said Mr. Jokowi, has reached 60% and it has been confirmed that the government is determined to rank in the same way as the MSMEs.
Government partisanship towards MSMEs also resulted in a decrease in interest on business loans (KURs) from 2% to 7%.
"Then the income tax that was previously 1% to half a percent," said Jokowi.
