Jokowi: Ojek Online a very noble work

BOGOR, KOMPAS.com – Presidential candidate number 01, Joko Widodo, praised the work of motorcycle taxi drivers online.

Jokowi reported on this at a meeting with volunteers from the Pospera command post in the Sentul region of Bogor on Tuesday (27.11.2018).

At the beginning, during the demonstration, Pospera's coach, who was also a PDI-P politician, Adian Napitupulu, said that thousands of people were coming from various professions.

Adian says that they have come together to be willing to volunteer for Jokowi without getting paid.

Jokowi then expressed his enthusiasm at the prospect of meeting them.

"I was very happy this afternoon to be able to meet with my friends, my best friends, from farmer groups, street vendors, drivers, motorcycle taxis," Jokowi said.

Jokowi then asked, "Are there motorcycle taxis online here?"

Some people shouted and raised their fingers enthusiastically.

Jokowi then praised the motorcycle taxi profession online.

"Ojek online is a very noble job," said Jokowi, cheering and noisy.

Previously, serial number candidate 02, Prabowo Subianto, also commented on the motorcycle taxi profession online.

The comment was made by Prabowo when he was a speaker at the 2018 Indonesian Economic Forum at the Shangrila Hotel in central Jakarta on Wednesday (21/11/2018).

Prabowo said he was concerned and saddened by the career path of Indonesian youth, not going to college but becoming a motorcycle taxi driver online.

This condition, he said, is sad and needs to be corrected.

"After graduating from primary school, a young Indonesian entered high school.After his studies, the child will go to high school.After high school, he became a motorcycle taxi driver online", did he declare.

"It's sad but it's a fact," he added.

Prabowo's statement raises controversy.
