Pertamina evaluates the discourse on lower prices for unsubsidized fuel

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PT Pertamina (Persero) is still reviewing the speech on reducing the price of unsubsidized fuel oil (BBM). The government plans to reduce the prices of unsubsidized fuels as a result of world oil prices, which continue to fall.

"(The drop in the price of unsubsidized fuel) is still being evaluated," said Adiatma Sardjito, Vice President of Pertamina, in charge of Corporate Communication, at Kompas.com Thursday (29.11. .2018).

According to the Pertamina website, currently in Jakarta, unsponsored Pertalite fuel is sold for Rp 7,800. The liter, Pertamax Rp 10,400, Pertamax Turbo 12,250 RU, 42,000 Pertamax Racing. While Dexlite is IDR 10,500, and Pertamina Dex is IDR 11,850.

In trading today (29.11.2018) at 09.32 WIB, the Brent oil price in January 2019 contract rose 0.34% to 58.96 dollars a barrel. At the same time, the price of non-corrective light crude in January 2019 rose 0.64% to $ 50.61 per barrel.

This speech was revealed for the first time by Djoko Siswanto, Director General of the Ministry of Oil and Gas of the Ministry ESDM. According to him, the decline in unsubsidized fuel prices has been affected by the drop in world oil prices.

It brought together commercial entities engaged in the fuel sales sector. During the discussion, the companies agreed to reduce the price of unsubsidized fuel.

However, Djoko did not want to reveal how much the price had been reduced.
