PGRI: P3K PP hurts the honorary teacher Justice

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Association of Teachers of the Republic of Indonesia (PGRI) criticizes Government Regulation No. 49 of 2018 regarding the management of state employees with employment contracts (P3K).

He felt that government regulation, seen as a solution to the problem of honorary staff, was actually hurting temporary teachers, especially those who had served for decades.

Because people who have just finished their studies and have not become honorary professors can also participate in first aid recruitment. This is governed by Article 16, paragraph PP P3K.

In this article, every Indonesian citizen has the same opportunity to apply for first aid by fulfilling the minimum age requirements and 20 years and one year before retirement.

"That's it, everything starts from new graduate from 20-59 years are gathered in a plot. "It undermines the sense of justice of the teachers who have been working there for decades," Unifah Rosyidi, president of the Indonesian Teachers' Association, told reporters after meeting with the president. "Because of the lack of teachers, why (honorary teachers) are they not taken into account," added Unifah.

PGRI hopes that there will be a Menpan-RB regulation to specifically regulate the recruitment of honorary teachers and honorary teaching staff.

In the Permenpan-Rb regulation, he suggested that a special regulation be established to help teachers and honorary educational staff to change their status to first aid.

According to him, no honorary professor having served has joined the recruitment with the new graduates.

"It should be tested by the honorary member and rewarded for a longer and dedicated service," Unifah said.

"And we are ready to be led like the other ASNs, we have evaluated their performance.The most important are the friends of honor who have been certified by the certification," he added.

Unifah said that PGRI's criticisms and contributions were submitted directly to President Jokowi at this afternoon's meeting. Jokowi promised to follow up.

"He said that he was very focused on the handling of human rights and that he would be specifically discussing our response." PGRI would also be declared, so he would ask the relevant ministries to entrust him with jointly follow up on this proposal, "said Unifah.
