Redmi wants to make a smartphone with a 64 MP camera

At the beginning of May 2019, Samsung launched a sensor ISOCELL Bright GW1 64 MP. Being expected, the first smartphone to adopt this camera sensor is the Galaxy A70. However, Samsung has not yet confirmed that.

Nah! According to Ice Universe, one of the leading smartphones manufacturers in the smartphone industry has indicated that besides the Samsung smartphone from the Galaxy A lineup, Redmi would apparently be interested in adopting the ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor 64 MP.

Ice Universi writes on social media from Weibo that Samsung will achieve its first international breakthrough by introducing the ever-mysterious Galaxy A Series with the support of a 64 MP camera. On the other hand, Redmi will also present a similar smartphone in China.

Of course, we still have to see who among the two will launch the world's first smartphone with a 46 MP camera. As we know, a lot of smartphone manufacturers are competing to make devices with a 48 MP main camera support.

On the market, a successful Redmi smartphone with a 48 MP main camera is available Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro. In addition, Redmi also published Redmi K20 and K20 Pro with the same camera sensor support. Meanwhile, Samsung has Galaxy A80 which is also supported by a 48 MP main camera.

For more information, the ISOCELL Bright GW1 64 MP sensor can capture 16 MP images in low-light scenarios with Samsung Tetracell technology. In addition, this sensor also supports up to 100 dB of HDR in real time.

With this sensor built into a smartphone, users can capture slow motion video with FullHD resolution and support Super PD PDAF technology.
